Download U-tube video using Terminal

To download U-Tube videos from Terminal first install
given software

sachin@sachin-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install youtube-dl

Now to browse the You-Tube for required video and copy URL
of required file and then

sachin@sachin-desktop:~$ youtube-dl -b http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsJXe0yOE0c

"-b" is added to download high quality video

For further info use command "man youtube-dl"

Default file will be downloaded to home folder.

Using firefox add-ons it is possible to download facebook videos and albums uploaded by friends.
U can get Firefox facebook video downloader from here and album downloader from here.

Its very easy to download video ... option for download video comes after
installing this add-on... just by clicking u can download videos .

Completed and non-completed Games

I am a big fan of Computer games and i like to play those games.
I attracted towards games when i first played video game when i was in 6th std.
Till now i have completed lot of computer games also many games i was not able
to complete because of either i was not able to go ahead or i lost interest in
game.

Games that i completed

1) Vetnam- this is the first game completed by me
2) Mummy : This is the horror game.
3) Max-Payne 1 and 2
4) GTA
5) NFS - Most Wanted
6) The Tudors
7) Harry Potter 1 & 2
8) Counter Strike : Half Life
9) Spiderman 3 : Web of shadows

Games that i was not able to complete

1) NFS- Carbon
2) Crazzy Machines

Karmic Koala

Karmic koala is latest release of ubuntu.Its having more features than its previous version Jaunty Jacklope.
Today morning i installed fresh copy ubuntu 9.10 and I am going to list out features which i experience while using it.

1) First its boot time is nearly same as ubuntu 9.04 and has new boot splash screen also it uses newer version of grub Grub 1.97 beta

2) Login screen now shows available users of system which was absent in previous versions.

3) Karmic koala comes with new art work it has 15 wallpapers and default human theme changes color of folder which was previously brown color.

4) Now no pidgin in ubuntu it is replace by Empathy.Rhythmic is default music player.

5) Instead of Add/Remove Software there is Ubuntu Software center option.

6) Default support for Ubuntu One service.

bugs or problem i got while using karmics are

1) This version of ubuntu promise to solved the graphics problem for PC with Intel Graphics card but it failed to solve because still i am not able to enable compiz fusion.
2) Also there was no sound after installing this version so i thought of configuring alsa or adding some flags but problem was not that much difficult. Problem was default output sound was mute so it was not coming.
3) karmic koala doesn't give garrenty to boot everytime .. it
fails to boot (1/10) times.
4) Also if screensaver activated on my PC then PC hangs .. this is bug
5) This is game related .. if i start to play farmville with fullscreen option then
PC hangups after some time.

I will add more features/problem i would face in same blog.

Subtitle Downloader

Most of the people like me need subtitles to see English movies.
Usually what i was doing is searching subtitles on net by movie file name
but with this approach most of the times i found subtiltles but they r either
go ahead or lags behind.

To tackle this there is tool available called subdownloader which will search a right
subtitle for movie.And i found this software as useful to me.

Now its time to become serious

Yeah! For me time has come to become serious in College .
Until I thought that college life means only doing lecture,practical
,batting and etc...
But now i am in TE ,peoples started thinking about their future
and in this process I became single,lonely so time come to become
serious,to think about future,to set some goals and try hard to achieve
this goals.
Today i am confused ,don't know who are with me and who not ???
but that is life. Every problem comes with solution so will try to
find it.Every sun rise brings new hopes in everyone life hoping same
will happen with me.
But i know that my friends best in their business and still
with me to support,encourage and help
